Creation of a new distribution network with high pressure polyethylene pipes

Mijnavan is a town in Artsakh’s Kashatagh region with the population of 300 residents and 85 residences. It is situated in the south-western part of the republic. It is located 105km away from Berdzor regional center, and 152 km away from the capital Stepanakert. The community is plain, has an area of 5634 hectares, 4186.3 of which are of agricultural significance and 938.7 hectares are forest lands.

According to the design schematics the following is planned:         

  • Creation of a new distribution network with high pressure polyethylene pipes P63, 75ml 1996m, P 110ml 5478m and P20-50ml 4331m, with appropriate shut-off and regulating valves and water-meter chambers.
  • Daily regulation reservoir with capacity of 100 m3.
  • Manhole chamber and water meter well will also be constructed.

Currently about 3 km of 110 mm polyethylene pipe has been moved to the construction site. A trench has been dug for the installation of about 250 m of pipes. Earthworks, ground and wall reinforcement and floor concreting works have been completed for the construction of 2 daily regulation reservoirs each with a capacity of 100 cubic meters.
